About This Scheme
Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a credit-linked subsidy scheme for setting up new micro enterprises. The scheme provides subsidies ranging from 15% to 35% of the project cost for setting up manufacturing and service sector units.
Eligibility Criteria
- 1Any individual above 18 years of age
- 2Minimum 8th pass for projects above ₹10 lakh in manufacturing
- 3Minimum 8th pass for projects above ₹5 lakh in service sector
- 4Self Help Groups, Charitable Trusts, and Cooperative Societies
- 5Only new projects are eligible
